Line of commercial split cooling and heat pump systems uses R-410A refrigerant
NORMAN, OKLA. - (June 17, 2009) - Coleman® (www.colemanhvacdealer.com) has added a new line of commercial split cooling and heat pump systems - the Coleman Outfitter™ -- to its environmentally friendly product offerings.
The Coleman Outfitter uses R-410A refrigerant and is EPAct 2010 compliant, exceeding ASHRAE 90.1 efficiency levels. Built on the reliable platform of the existing Outfitter packaged product, the outdoor units feature a compact design, clean styling and quiet operation that make them suitable for almost any outdoor installation.
MicroChannel condenser coils on the cooling units feature aluminum coil technology that provides excellent heat transfer and uses less refrigerant charge than traditional copper tube and aluminum fin designs. The units also use scroll compressors mounted on rubber isolators to quietly deliver high efficiency and reliability.
The Coleman Outfitter line offers single pipe and single- and two-stage commercial condensing units and heat pumps. In addition, many models are available in a four-pipe design, providing redundancy in system operation and versatility in application choices.
Available in 7.5- to 20-ton capacities, the new Outfitter systems feature Simplicity® microprocessor controls, providing easy set-up and programming as well as alarm monitoring. Air handlers include factory-installed standard and oversized motor options, techni-coated indoor coils for corrosion protection and a standard two-inch filter rack that can easily be field-converted to accept four-inch filters. The new air handlers also include adjustable thermostatic expansion valves, liquid line solenoids for capacity reduction and an adjustable motor sheave to allow airflow flexibility in the field.
Units come completely assembled, piped and wired at the factory to provide one-piece shipment and rigging. Each unit is pressurized with a holding charge of R-410A refrigerant for storage and/or shipping.
